There is abundant evidence that women are forcefully kept out of these areas despite wanting to be in them. ![]() I don't believe women are less interested in politics, business or science that men. We believe that some gender imbalances aren't due to preferences however. Conservatives don't understand that liberals agree with you on this. ![]() Women are more likely to enjoy hairdressing or childcare, while men prefer construction or race car driving. In a gender equal society 50% of coal-miners and 50% of garbage-workers should be women, right? What about individual choice?Different genders have different preferences. She is of the view that politics is a "game" for men and she does not want to be in politics nor would she support women who are in politics. I once asked my wife if she wanted to be a mayor because I would bankroll her campaign and my local friends/connections could help her. Many women do not want to involve themselves in politics and will not support women in politics. It's an amazing tool that actually works - but only if people actually understand it.Should individual choice ever factor into anything? What do you guys think of progressive stacks? Are they inherently wrong and/or even crazy? Are they a legitimate method of promoting "good ideas" (based on the speaker's skin color)? What are your thoughts on this?To me, 'progressive stacks' seem like a tool to divide the public against itself, emphasizing the differences the oligarchs want us to quarrel over (gender identity, race, etc), instead of encouraging the whole citizenry to unite against the handful of billionaires, who, along with their well-rewarded tools, ensure the security of their own wealth at disastrous cost to the public.Įdited to add: if you want to make sure everyone can speak and have their voice heard, teach parliamentary procedure in school as a fundamental and required part of education. In places where they took it by the letter -as was my hometown-, the movement dissolved within days. The only issue being that stack-oriented people have a thing for trying to convert other sub-groups.Īs an anecdote, where I lived when the 15M was a thing, when the LGBT collective requested to be given priority on claims of them being a minority, they were fortunately told to sod off. Those that choose to form stacks are less popular, in my experience. Sub-groups are, of course, free to choose how they organize. The order can be decided on many factors: involvement with different commissions, daily agenda, belonging to minorities. When this consensus forming takes the shape of a stack, people request to be added to the stack -the order in which they can speak. ![]() It's direct democracy under consensus, regulated by (all too often self-appointed) facilitators. How about a source other than someone who may very well literally be standing on a soap box for this? The fetishisation of form and process over ideology. The problem with idiotic liberals is that they concern themselves with issues like this so that they can ignore their country killing millions of people. What do you guys think of progressive stacks? Are they inherently wrong and/or even crazy? Are they a legitimate method of promoting "good ideas" (based on the speaker's skin color)? What are your thoughts on this?Well my issue with how they decide on ranking in a progressive stack is that it makes no sense to put say a handicapped transexual who is part of 'western civilization' before somebody who comes from an area in Southern Asia or the Middle East or the Americas, who has been subjected to genocide by the west. "cis scum," white men, white women, Asians, etc.) would have to stand in the back of the line and would only be allowed to speak after all of the "under-privileged" individuals spoke. Those with the most amount of "privilege" (i.e. headmates, transsexuals, ableists, etc.) would be given top priority and allowed to voice their views first. Those with the least amount of "privilege" (i.e. ![]() A progressive stack is something that started at Occupy Wall Street, where people would be divided and ranked based on how much "privilege" they have.
